Hey there Bookwyrms! Its Friday and that means *drum roll* It’s time for … Meet the #Bookstagrammer, #Blogger & #Bookshark!
Without further adieu, let’s put our hands together for my next guest!!
Name & @handle: Alicia aka The Bookish Puff (@thebookishpuff)
Alicia’s a #bookstagrammer, #blogger and #BookShark
City: Charleston, SC
Favorite Genres: Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Historical Fiction, and Romance
Who are your top 3 favorite characters? Why?
- Ron Weasley. He was the first character in any book that I truly related to. I was always the kid covered in dirt and looking for an adventure (even if I was a little scared).
- Daenerys Targaryen. She is easily one of the most complex and heart breaking characters ever written. Even though I don’t agree with all of her actions she is a total badass.
- Bilbo Baggins. In all honesty I adore all of the hobbits featured in the Lord of The Rings books. However, The Hobbit is still one of my favorite reads and it is because of the tenacity and spunk that is packed into this small but mighty character.
What are your top 3 bookish fandoms?
- Harry Potter
- Lord of The Rings
What are your favorite movie or tv show adaptations?
I hate to be boring but I would have to say the same franchises! Harry Potter, Lord of The Rings, and Outlander!
Interviewer Interruption: Not boring at all! You like/love these stories and honestly I’m a little bit jealous because I wish I could say Sarah J Maas for everything lol
What do you like most about the book community? The least?
I would have to say my favorite part of the book community is the friendships I have formed both online and in real life! I never thought in a million years that posting on the internet about books would allow me to build some amazing friendships with people that I absolutely adore! The thing I like the least is how catty and rude some people can be. Luckily, I have not experienced that issue too much but it is always surprising how some people can act! I wish people would just follow the golden rules of “Don’t be a jerk!” and “Treat others as you would like to be treated.”
Interviewer Interruption: I’d have to agree with you on both points. It still baffles me how many people actually enjoy reading books and discussing them. And the fact that I’ve made friends with people I probably would’ve never thought I’d meet is great. But unfortunately there are moments when I’ve witnessed people being rude and catty and its disheartening to say the least.
And finally, Physical, E-book or Audiobook, Which do you prefer?
I love them all but nothing quite beats the feel of a physical book in your hands.
Thank you Alicia for allowing us to get to know you! Glad we can maybe geek out about Harry Potter together one day lol
