Top 5 Cute Romances – Top 5 Tuesday

Hey Bookwyrms! I’m so excited to participate in Shanah’s (Bionic Book Worm) Top 5 Tuesday! If you’d like to check out the different prompts for May and participate, click here.

I LOVE this week’s prompt! I am all about the romance, especially the cute ones. I’ve listed some old favorites and some new ones.

Crazy On You by Crystal Bright

Romance + music? Sign me up! This enemies-to-lovers romance has it all. A mash of R&B and Country genres, all the tension, and relatable characters. Bonus: The author’s writing style is equal parts descriptive as it is entertaining. If you’d like to know more, check out my review of Crazy on You. I definitely recommend picking it up.

Say You Still Love Me by K.A. Tucker

If you’re in the mood for a second-chance romance and quintessential teen camp story then Say You Still Love Me is the book for you. Set in the past and present, we follow Piper and Kyle’s love story. It’s a tale of true friendship, first love, betrayal and moving past a major obstacle, socioeconomic class division.

Love from A – Z by S.K. Ali

This cutesy YA romance stole my heart from the first page! Well in my case from the first five minutes of listening lol It tackles difficult topics like xenophobia, prejudice and chronic illness. But Adam and Zayneb’s love story is movie magic! I gave it all the stars and palm leaves!

The Playbook Series by Alexa Martin

These sport romances have completely stolen my heart! I’ve fallen in love with all of the characters and different storylines. We get second-chance and friends-to-lovers tropes. Some drama and cattiness. As well as the strength of female friendships, entrepreneurship and empowerment! Added bonus: steam that will have you fanning yourself and possibly jumping into several cold showers lol I’m super excited for the next book in the series, Swapped. If you’d like to, check out my review of the first book Intercepted!

You’d Be Mine by Erin Hahn

And finally, another music romance centered around the genre of love, heartbreak and storytelling, country music. Although the romance has it’s very cute moments, Annie Mathers and Clay Coolidge’s story is raw and uncut. There are a few trigger warnings like drug use and suicide ideation. However, if you’re in the mood for a young adult version of A Star is Born, this is the one for you!

There you have it! Some of my top cute romances. I have plenty more romance books that didn’t make the list that I’d love to recommend. And I’m also interested in some of your recommendations! Let me know in the comments down below.
